1. “Generative AI for Busy Business Leaders” just launched

I just published a book called “Generative AI for Busy Business Leaders.”

It’s a very short book that covers practical frameworks and strategies that’ll help you use AI with your team.

It’s listed for only $0.99 on Amazon for a limited time, and all proceeds from the first 30 days will be donated to a good cause.

2. New Government Mandates for AI Development

The US government will soon require OpenAI, Google, and other AI companies to notify it about the development of foundation models, under the Defense Production Act.

Companies must report whenever they train a new large language model and share safety data for government review, focusing on models that pose serious risks to national security or public health and safety.

The executive order also mandates US cloud computing providers to disclose foreign use of their services, addressing security concerns from international access.

This means that the trend toward more regulatory and compliance requirements in the AI space is continuing.

3. OpenAI releases new GPT feature in ChatGPT

OpenAI has unveiled an innovative feature for ChatGPT users: direct integration of third-party GPTs within chat conversations.

Exclusive to paid subscribers, this upgrade enables users to effortlessly incorporate various GPTs into their ongoing discussions.

By typing “@” along with the name of the GPT, users can add specialized AI capabilities into their conversations, each fully aware of the ongoing dialogue's context.

Here’s a short GIF of how it works.

What does this mean for leaders?

I discussed the power of custom GPTs in a couple of earlier newsletters, but this upgrade will increase productivity among team members (it’s faster to invoke the GPT in the prompt box than having to hunt for the one you want).

It will also help give teams more of a reason to create them and integrate them within their workflows.

4. One Prompt You Can Use at Work Today

Here’s a practical ChatGPT Prompt you can use at work:

I work at a company based out of the [country A]. We have a client that is based out of [country B]. I'd like to know more about some of the cross-cultural communication issues that I should be aware of when collaborating and interacting with our [country B] client.

For example,

I work at a company based out of the USA. We have a client that is based out of Germany. I'd like to know more about some of the cross-cultural communication issues that I should be aware of when collaborating and interacting with our German client.

If you would like to see more of those prompts, check out my free book called: ChatGPT for Better Business Communication.
