1. The Top 100 Gen AI Consumer Apps

The latest "Top 100 Gen AI Consumer Apps" list by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) was just published. This is a more recent version of the list they published six months ago.

Here’s the list of the top 50 Gen AI web products by unique monthly visits.

And here’s a list of the top 50 Gen AI mobile apps by unique monthly visits

What does this mean for leaders?

There are a couple of interesting takeaways from this list:

1) First, nearly 30 percent of the companies that made this list are brand new (when compared to the list from 6 months ago). This means that the competitive landscape is still moving at an insanely fast pace, and the expectation is that we’ll see more new players make the top 100 going forward.

2) Second, ChatGPT tops both of those lists, so it is still the top contender even though others have been catching up.

2. Google Released Audio Overview That Creates Discussions About Your Notes

Google’s NotebookLM released “Audio Overviews” that turns your documents, charts, and slides into dynamic audio discussions.

The feature creates an engaging dialogue between two AI hosts, summarizing your materials and making insightful connections. Sort of like a podcast.

The summaries are based on the content you upload, so you don’t have to worry about the privacy and accuracy of your sources.

This can help leaders transform dense reports and documents into quick, easy-to-digest audio discussions, making it easier to absorb important information on the go.
