1. What AI Skill Should You Focus on Right Now?
This is an excellent LinkedIn post by Allie K. Miller that highlights where you and your team should put your energy today.
The key takeaway is to build the ability to delegate tasks to AI agents the same way you would to human colleagues.
This is a skillset that will become increasingly important in the years ahead.

2. The AI Leadership Gap Just Hit 3.8x (And It's Growing)
New research from MIT and McKinsey reveals a sobering truth: the performance gap between AI-leading organizations and laggards has widened from 2.7x to 3.8x in just one year.
Here are the numbers that every leader should know:
Leading companies are achieving 5x ROI on digital projects within 5 years, while 77% of successful AI implementations have C-level executive sponsorship. Meanwhile, laggards are stuck in endless pilot phases.
The most striking finding: 44% of AI leaders have CEO or board sponsorship compared to just 22% of laggards. This isn't just a technology problem - it's a leadership problem.
The brutal truth: Most organizations are failing at AI not because they lack technical capabilities, but because their leaders haven't committed to the cultural transformation required.
91% of data leaders cite "cultural challenges and change management" as their biggest barrier.
The takeaway
If you're not personally sponsoring AI initiatives in your organization, you're likely falling further behind every quarter. The gap is accelerating, not stabilizing.

OpenAI dropped five major announcements in the last week, transforming ChatGPT from a tool into a full enterprise platform serving 700 million weekly active users.
Here's what happened:
ChatGPT Pulse (Sept 25): Proactive AI assistant that researches overnight based on your history, calendar, and apps, then delivers 5-10 personalized visual cards each morning. Transforms ChatGPT from reactive to proactive, replacing morning briefings. Pro users first, Plus users next. Read more
Enterprise collaboration features (Sept 25): Shared team projects, new connectors for Gmail, Google Calendar, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, GitHub, Dropbox, and Box, plus ISO 27001/27017/27018/27701 certifications and expanded SOC 2 compliance. Read more
Buy it in ChatGPT (Sept 29): Direct purchasing from 1M+ Etsy sellers with Instant Checkout, powered by new open-source Agentic Commerce Protocol (built with Stripe). Shopify merchants coming soon. No sponsored placements, creating a zero-click commerce channel. Read more
Sora 2 video model (Sept 30): Next-gen video and audio generation with dramatically improved physics and audio-video sync. New iOS app includes "Cameos" (upload yourself once, appear in any video) and TikTok-style discovery feed. All videos watermarked with C2PA metadata. Read more
Sora social app (Sept 30): Standalone iOS app launching alongside Sora 2, positioning OpenAI to compete directly with TikTok in AI-generated content discovery and sharing. Read more
Why this matters: OpenAI is executing an aggressive platform strategy integrating commerce, content creation, team collaboration, and massive compute infrastructure.
For business leaders, ChatGPT is now infrastructure-grade with enterprise security and deep workflow integration.
The agentic commerce protocol could fundamentally change customer discovery and purchasing, meaning businesses need to optimize for AI visibility, not just SEO.

5. One Prompt You Can Use at Work Today
Here’s a practical ChatGPT Prompt you can use at work:
Draft an agenda to give a project status update [project name]. The duration of the meeting is [duration] and there are [X] speakers. [Name] will kick it off with opening remarks. [name], [role & task]. Then [name]and [name] will give a [task]. [Name] will wrap it up. Include time allotments and use a table.
For example,
Draft an agenda to give a project status update about the "Migration CapCom Project". The duration of the meeting is 30 minutes and there are 4 speakers. Joe will kick it off with opening remarks. Jessica, the engineering manager, will then give an update about the technical issue from last Tuesday. Then Sam and Janice will give a financial update. Joe will wrap it up. Include time allotments and use a table.
