1. 95% of AI Projects Are Failing to Deliver
A new MIT Media Lab study reveals a worrying “GenAI Divide” in business. Despite companies pouring $30 to $40 billion into enterprise AI projects, 95% of generative AI pilots are yielding no measurable ROI.
Only a tiny 5% of AI initiatives have broken through with “millions in value” – the rest are stuck in experiment mode with no impact on the bottom line . The research found that while over 80% of organizations have tried tools like ChatGPT or Copilots, these are mostly used for small productivity boosts (e.g. drafting content) and haven’t fundamentally changed core operations or profits.
Why the gap? The biggest culprit is a learning and integration failure, not lack of data or talent. Most current gen AI systems “forget” context between sessions and can’t learn on the job: they don’t retain feedback or improve over time.
The takeaway
To get real value, focus on AI applications that can continually learn and plug into workflows, rather than one-off pilots that impress in demos but falter in practice

2. GPT-5 is Here
OpenAI just delivered the most significant AI advancement since ChatGPT's original launch. GPT-5 launched recently with a revolutionary "unified reasoning" system that automatically routes between fast responses and deep thinking modes based on what your task actually needs.
Here’s how the drop-down in ChatGPT’s model menu looks like

They basically simplified the way you’d pick how you’d like the model to respond to your prompts, with an “Auto” mode as default (and moved all other models under a separate “Legacy models” option).
Early results are impressive: 94.6% performance on advanced math problems, 74.9% success on coding challenges, and 45% fewer hallucinations than GPT-4o.
However, some have reported that they weren’t too impressed with it at launch due to “colder” responses.

3. Interested in Writing a Book Quickly using AI?
I recently launched my course, the “4-Week Write Your Book on the Side” system.
It’s a course that will help you write and publish a bestselling nonfiction book in just four weeks (using AI to write it quickly and in your own voice).

Here are the three highest-impact options for leaders:
Fathom for meetings: This AI assistant joins your calls, transcribes everything, tracks who said what, and generates structured summaries. Leaders report saving 2-3 hours weekly on meeting follow-up. Setup takes 15 minutes, works immediately. Free tier available.
ChatGPT Plus for document analysis: Upload PDFs, spreadsheets, or screenshots for instant analysis and insights. Perfect for strategic document review, data analysis, and meeting prep. 40-50% faster document processing with $20/month investment.
Synthesia for video communications: Create professional training and communication videos using AI avatars. 80-90% cost reduction versus traditional video production, 30 minutes to create first video. Game-changing for internal communications and training.

5. One Prompt You Can Use at Work Today
Here’s a practical ChatGPT Prompt you can use at work:
I just had a meeting with [Client Name] on [Project/Topic]. Write a follow-up email that summarizes the key points we discussed, the decisions made, and the next steps. Include any action items, who is responsible for each, and agreed deadlines. Keep the tone professional and appreciative.
For example,
I just had a meeting with ACME corp on our Q3 marketing campaign. Write a follow-up email that summarizes the key points we discussed, the decisions made, and the next steps. Include any action items, who is responsible for each, and agreed deadlines. Keep the tone professional and appreciative.
